Beginning of a new friendship
Last night was the first night i had wore a damn suit. The dress code was 'Lounge', and i was invited for the event the day before, at 11pm. Purrfect timing indeed.
Anyway, it was more of a social night. Take away all the nitty-gritty, this post is about..................a girl. Of course.
I knew her from the event, she was one of the freshies that was present for the gala dinner. Okay, there were only 5 freshies, including me. 3 girls, 2 gentlemen. Girls because they are obviously not dressed up for the occasion, 19-year-old do not understand what is lounge attire. None wore cocktail dresses.
Okay, the event ended late, and the dinner was held at a strange hotel called M. Walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT, but being weisiong (being nice i mean), i decided to send two of them home.
After dropping the first one off, the other girl and me, we were passing kallang leisure park. It was quite a spectacular sight. Because, firstly, i seldom go to such romantic area since me no girlfriend. And secondly, there wasn't much things to do there.
The beautiful lightings from indoor stadium, the waves creating nice reflections, the backdrop of national stadium and kallang basin, the serene and quaint surroundings, few cars, few people....
The convo goes like this. She said,
"Eh, very nice leh."
"You didn't come here before meh? This place very romantic one. Good to hold hand walk walk."
"eh, you seemed fascinated hur. Shall we go down and have a romantic walk?"
At this point, i was abit shocked. I didnt expect that reply. So i said it was quite late, and we should be heading home.
Then, throughout the whole ride, she told me quite abit about herself. And that her parents will be buying a car just for her.
So, being me, i asked her jokingly if i could teach her for her subjects and in turn she could drive me around, from home to school, etc. She shook her head.
"Wei, I do tutorials for you okay? And i teach you those things you can't remember okay? Not that i will understand, but i try okay?"
"Hmm....Not enough to earn a ride."
"How about i prepare breakfast for you every day?"
"Plus my laundry too?"
".............."
"And dinner too?"
"It's not fair! How about i date you?"
"Really? Okay loh, you can try."
< I turned to look at her, she was already looking at me, i thought for awhile, winked playfully and said>
"You know.....I'm shy."
Then, we slowly drifted off to another topic, about her pageant partner and her schoolwork and etc(Yes! She's a pageant for her hall)
Then soon, we reached her house, and the journey came to an end......
I asked her for her number and she gave me. (Of course lah!)
It's the beginning of a new friendship. =)
